Amazing homework

Well done to Luke for his amazing effort with his weather topic. I wish I could show everybody it online but it is just too big to upload. He enjoyed showing it around the school and to Mr Shepherd. Keep up the hard work Luke and class 3B!

Victorian Day

Victorian Day

Victorian Assembly

3B’s assembly was a great success this morning.  However, it could not of happened if it were not for the tireless effort of the adults of the children.  They all looked resplendent in their Victorian outfits this morning and it truly made the assembly so much better.  So may we once again say a huge THANK YOU to you all the parents for making it go so well.  From Miss Barnes, Miss Thornton, Miss Forster and Mr Horton

P.S.  We are hoping to put upload some photos of our day soon.

Careers Day

Last Friday, 3B were enthraled by Hawes Side’s career day.  It wasd a great success with all the children getting involved, even Mr Horton had a try of the paramedics helicopter helmet.  A big thank you from 3B for everyone that gave a talk, and I am sure that their advice will be taken further by the children.  Perhaps there is a future paramedic, pilot,  nurse, prison officer or local businessman in this very class.

Just a quick reminder that on Friday 2nd December at 9.20am, 3B will be performing their Victorian Christmas Assembly in the small hall.  Everyone is invited to attend but pleae arrive early so we can accomodate everyone.  It should be a treat for everyone!!!!!!!!!

3B are learning to blog for the first time.  We have been practising what to do and about internet saefty.  We are going to do responses.  Please read …………

Watch this space for further developments……………………….

3B have been looking at what type of energy we use and how we can save energy.  Great ideas like turing off lights and not leaving the TV on stand by have been said.  But there are many other ways and we are always open to new and interesting ideas about saving energy.  To find out more about what we have been doing visit www.jointhepod.org.

Friday 2nd December.  Put it in your diary.  It is our family assembly that day.  This will be about a Victorian Christmas and what the Victorians did for us.    The c hildren have been working hard on this and learing so much about the Victorians.  We have asked the children to dress up on that day in Victorian costume.  If you need to discuss anything about this day then please come and see us.

The Victorians

We have been learning about the Victorians and to start the topic we went on a visit to the Judges Lodgings. We have also been looking at how Blackpool has grown since victorian times. If you have any old  photographs please bring them in for us to look at.
